Since January 1997,Australian Andrew McNeice has maintained a website( that champions a style of Rock music thatcommands a huge following throughout the world, Melodic Rock. Epitomized bybands such as Survivor, Journey, Night Ranger, and Styx, the genre isdistinguished by unforgettable and emotional songwriting supported byinventive and orchestral musicianship. The website takes millions of hitsand supports 200,000 monthly unique visitors.

Since its beginnings in the 80’s, the American Midwest has been theepicenter of Melodic Rock, and it is in South Bend, Indiana that McNeicehas chosen to bring together a blockbuster cast to celebrate the tenthanniversary of, in a one-night only concert. WAOR-FM ofNiles, Michigan is co-sponsor of the event.

The show, on October 6th, which begins at 2 pm, (at the MorrisPerforming Arts Center) will feature “Scrap Metal” an all-star groupcomprising Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger (“Sister Christian”), Gunnar andMatthew Nelson of Nelson (“Love And Affection”), Mark Slaughter ofSlaughter (“Up All Night”) and Eric Martin from Mr. Big (“To Be With You”).Joining that crew are very special guests Jim Peterik and Jimi Jamison,both formerly of Survivor (“Eye Of The Tiger”), Jack Blades, bandmate ofKelly Keagy in Night Ranger and member of Damn Yankees, and Joe Lynn Turnerof Rainbow and Deep Purple.

“Scrap Metal’s” set will consist of the top hits made famous by themembers of the band. This setting also allows for the unique opportunity tohear these great singers and musicians interact with each other in waysthat have never been previously presented.

Also appearing will be Former Journey vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, in aspecial solo set, Kevin Chalfant of The Storm performing his tribute toJourney, Canadian stars Harem Scarem, Martie Peters Group, 7th Heaven, and1RKO.
