SOUTH AMERICA’S MAGISTRAL ON NOW AND THEN RECORDS:
February 19, 2004
Now And Then is proud to announce the label`s first ever South American signing. Magistral is a superb new power metal band originally hailing from Santiago, Chile.
The founding core of MAGISTRAL is comprised of Francisco, Moises, and Danilo. Growing up in the same neighborhood, Moises, Francisco and Danilo were already playing in a band together. In 1998 they begun searching for a lead singer that would help them to complete their sound, a unique style of power metal. Their search ended when they met Lucho Silva. Lucho impressed them with his amazing vocal range and magnetic stage presence. With Lucho firmly in place as the new vocalist and lyricist, MAGISTRAL was born.
Magistral got their first break when they were discovered in Santiago and recorded their first demo, Their first single Awake, was well received and obtained significant local radio play. At this point, Lucho, who already had lived in Houston, convinced the other band members to pursue their dream in the U.S. One by one they migrated to Texas and began the next chapter in the development of the band.
Having opened for several major metal bands, Magistral have built up a strong local following and after hearing their demo, Now And Then knew they had to sign this promising talent.
The band are currently writing material for their debut album which will be released later this year. To hear some demo samples and for more info check out the bands website at –
