SEASONS OF STORMS SIGN WITH NOW AND THEN:
March 3, 2004
SEASONS OF STORMS
Now And Then is delighted to be able to announce the signing of Swedish symphonic metal band Seasons of Storms. The band was formed in spring 1999 by main songwriter/lead guitarist Johan Lindgren and rhythm guitarist Andreas Stenlund. Over the next 4 years the duo recorded three demos and went through several line-up changes before they finally settled on the right people.
In late spring 2003 they entered the studio once more to record their fourth demo, entitled “Face of The Evernight”. The new songs had heavy symphonic influences but without losing the speed or the traditional power metal feeling. By this time Seasons Of Storms had hooked up with a truly great metal singer, Simon Akesson who did an awesome job and joined the band. The songs were placed on Mp3.com and in just a few weeks they had been downloaded thousands of times. The demo received a great response from the bands existing fans and excellent reviews on internet fanzines. After the “Face of the Evernight” demo was released the hunt for a full-time drummer began, culminating in Tobias Lundgren, a great prog-metal drummer joining the band.
The “Face of the Evernight” demo caught the attention of Now and Then Records and a worldwide multi album deal was soon signed.
The band is currently writing and demoing new material with a view to recording their debut album and having it released before the end of 2004.
A band website is also being put together at present and mp3 samples will be available on it within the next few weeks.
