WIFE OF MOLLY HATCHET GUITARIST DIES:
April 1, 2004
GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – The wife of the lead guitarist for the Southern rock group Molly Hatchet was found dead Thursday, police said.
Stephanie Ingram was found at home here, about 25 miles south of Jacksonville, said Clay County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Mary Justino. She was 33. An autopsy was scheduled.
Justino would not say if guitarist Bobby Ingram was also at home, or who notified authorities about the death.
The Sheriff’s Office’s major crimes unit and homicide detectives were investigating. Justino said that is not an indication police suspect foul play.
“When it’s not obvious what caused the death, it’s departmental policy that Major Crimes is assigned to the case,” Justino said.
Bobby Ingram joined the Jacksonville-based band in 1980, according to the band’s Web site.
