CHEAP TRICK TO RELEASE LIVE CONCERT DVD”FROM TOKYO TO YOU” ON JUNE 15th

IN-STORE SIGNING AT J&R MUSIC WORLD IN NEW YORK CITY ON DAY OF RELEASE

New York, NY- June 8, 2004- Multi-platinum rock legends Cheap Trick are set to release From Tokyo To You on June 15th, 2004 via Big3 Records/Cheap Trick Unlimited. The DVD will feature live performances, exclusive interviews and behind the scenes footage from the band’s 2003 Japanese tour. Cheap Trick is no stranger to Japan, as the 1979 release At Budokan is one of the most celebrated live recordings of all time, reaching quadruple-platinum. Footage from this show is seen as the band reflects on the momentous occasion.

Cheap Trick will be celebrating the release with a special in-store appearance on June 15th at New York City’s J&R Music World (23 Park Row, near City Hall). The band will be greeting fans and signing autographs beginning at 12:30 PM. (NO MEMORABILIA,PLEASE! THE BAND IS ONLY SIGNING THEIR NEW DVD!)

Featuring the band’s trademark high-powered pop, From Tokyo To You includes blistering live versions of hits from their three decade-long career, including “I Want You to Want Me,” “My Obsession” and “Surrender.” Members of Cheap Trick – Rick Nielsen (guitar), Robin Zander (vocals, guitar), Bun E. Carlos (drums) and Tom Petersson (bass) – offer a rare glimpse into their world with candid, humorous insight into personal and band history.

The release of From Tokyo To You adds another chapter to Cheap Trick’s legacy as they continue to reinvigorate American rock’n’roll with a unique sound that has been the foundation and inspiration of many of today’s hottest acts. The band has numerous successes under its belt, including four platinum albums and seven gold LPs, a number-one single with “The Flame,” several other Top 40 hits and a gold-certified video compilation entitled Every Trick in the Book. With more than 25 years of world touring, Cheap Trick has sold out shows in America and Japan, playing with the likes of AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Queen, The Smashing Pumpkins, KISS and the 1996 Lollapalooza Tour. They can currently be seen touring North America through June in support of their latest studio release, Special One, with fellow legends Aerosmith.
