July 19, 2004

New Video in Production! C.C. BANANA: Split Happens!

Following the successful launch of his all-new website, irreverent rock & roll comic C.C. Banana is proud to announce that production has begun on his all-new home video:

C.C. Banana: SPLIT HAPPPENS!

Promising more of the same inspired lunacy that fans have come to expect from the human fruit, SPLIT HAPPENS will again showcase C.C. Banana’s unorthodox band interviews, outrageous backstage antics and perhaps even a few of his trademark song parodies!

“All of us here in Bananaland are ripe with anticipation over shooting another video!” raves C.C. Banana. “We’ll be hitting quite a few tours this summer and we already have some fantastic interviews lined up!” SPLIT HAPPENS will be shot at live concert events throughout 2004 and participating artists will be announced as they are confirmed. Additionally, SPLIT HAPPENS will include documentation of C.C. Banana’s adventures hosting last summer’s landmark MSX Tour, which featured Faster Pussycat, Enuff Z’Nuff and Pretty Boy Floyd.

The production of SPLIT HAPPENS comes hot on the heels of C.C.’s first home video BACKSTAGE BANANA, in which he alternately interviews and offends the members of Poison, Winger and Cinderella. Indeed, most rockers consider it a badge of honor to be ambushed by the yellow fellow. “God bless the Banana!” enthused Poison’s C.C. DeVille upon surviving his encounter. Still available via the all-new CCBanana.com, BACKSTAGE BANANA has proven to be a huge hit with rockers and fans alike.

“I loved it,” offered Brent Muscat of Faster Pussycat, a sentiment shared by his band mates: “Chad and Danny also enjoy watching C.C. Banana’s video on the bus.”

“I saw your video, it was f*ckin’ hilarious!” raved Poison frontman Bret Michaels.

C.C. Banana began life as a twisted homage to Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille, yet soon took on a life of his own. He again made news for his infamous nightclub showdown with former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach, and later for hosting (and surviving) the aforementioned MSX Tour. More recently, C.C. has introduced an evening with Bret Michaels at the B.B. King Blues Club in NYC and performed comedy alongside Howard Stern’s resident celebrity impersonator Craig Gass. C.C. Banana has also appeared with Uranium’s Juliya on Fuse TV (formerly Much Music USA) and has even been profiled in the UK’s “Classic Rock” magazine. C.C. Banana is perhaps best known for entertaining visitors of the popular Metal Sludge website with tales of his outlandish misadventures.

“I’m back for another summer of music and mayhem!” promises C.C. Banana. “So be on the lookout and keep your eyes PEELED!”
