Nikki Sixx denies that Mötley Crüe getting back together

Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx has taken to Facebook to shoot down the rumour that Mötley Crüe are secretly recording a new studio album and will go on tour at the end of 2018 to coincide with the release of their autobiography The Dirt in film format via Netflix.

Yesterday, an article appeared on keg.iheart.com where Cindy Scully from 97.1 The Eagle Scully Morning Show reported that Mötley Crüe were rumoured to be in the early stages of recording a new album with a tour to follow in late 2018.

The following message was posted on Sixx‘s Facebook page earlier today:

“FYI..A radio station recently posted a bullshit article that is getting picked up by the press because the press only wants “press” SAD…MOTLEY is not getting back together…I wish the press had more credibility and wouldn’t shit on fans feelings…Anything to get someone to click on their website so they can sell advertising…SAD.. The press is suppose to report the news not make up gossip or spread it….”

Prior to embarking on their last tour, the Mötley Crüe band members signed a “Cessation Of Touring” agreement where they agreed never to tour again after their last tour which ended on December 31, 2015.
