Nikki Sixx reveals Mötley Crüe band members have not rehearsed together in nine years

Mötley Crüe consisting of bassist Nikki Sixx, lead vocalist Vince Neil, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist Mick Mars are starting to gear up for their much anticipated The Stadium Tour, which is set to kick off at the SunTrust Park in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on June 16, 2022.

The following message was posted on Sixx‘s Facebook page back on March 25, 2022:

“Heres a head fuck for you….We pulled the plug 7 years ago…Before that we did a two year tour…So the last time we rehearsed together was 9 years ago….With that being said, talking on the phone, texting and emailing each-other about our upcoming tour and YES BAND REHEARSAL is fucking exciting…We start rehearsal in a month…So grateful to get to take this hot rod out for another spin with my brothers of 40 years….DAMN….Were making the setlists now….Anything you wanna hear?”

Sleaze Roxx actually attended the first tour stop of Mötley Crüe‘s All Bad Things Must Come to An End Tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA on July 2, 2014, which apparently started after two years of possible rehearsal time. Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its concert review:

“The unthinkable then happened when [MickMars completely screwed up the intro to “Too Fast For Love”. Perhaps his bandmates were frustrated with him because [TommyLee, or was it bassist Nikki Sixx, threw him under the bus by declaring to the crowd something along the lines of, “Mick does not remember how to play the song — the song is only 35 years old”. Ouch — that hurts. It was somewhat obvious when listening that Mars was off, but now it was public knowledge. This then led into an approximately 20 minute break where the house lights — yes, the house lights — were turned back on. Another huge momentum killer.”
