Oni Logan hints that he’s back in Lynch Mob for 2020

The on again, off again relationship between singer Oni Logan and guitarist George Lynch in Lynch Mob appears to be on again as the following succinct message was posted on Logan‘s Facebook page two days ago:

“The Doctors say were good for 2020

Back in June of this year, Lynch hinted that Logan might be back in the band as he indicated in an interview with Sonic Perspectives: “We’re starting to work on a new Lynch Mob record next month, I believe that we’ll start pre-production on it. It’s going to be a slow process for us. Oni [Logan, singer] likes to work slow. I’m not sure yet, but fairly certain he’s going to join me on this record, and it’ll come out next year.”

Since Logan‘s last departure from Lynch Mob in early 2018, the group has used at least three different lead vocalists (Robert Mason, Nathan Utz and Andrew Freeman) for live gigs and has reportedly been working with singer Joe Retta on a new album. In an interview with Mitch Lafon for Rock Talk with Mitch Lafon earlier this month, Lynch states (as indicated by Rock Talk with Mitch Lafon): “Jimmy and I worked on the new record initially… then we brought in Joe Retta (from Heaven & Earth – who’s working on vocals)… Sean McNabb is not. Next year, Brian Tichy‘s coming back.”

Logan has handled the lead vocals on the following Lynch Mob‘s albums: Wicked Sensation (1990), Syzygy (1998), Smoke And Mirrors (2009), Sound Mountain Sessions EP (2012), Unplugged: Live From Sugarhill Studios (2013), Sun Red Sun (2014), Rebel (2015) and The Brotherhood (2017).
