Original Asphalt Ballet Vocalist Promotes New Album With TV Performance
August 1, 2011
Gary Jeffries, best known for his work on Asphalt Ballet’s debut CD and with swamp-rockers Alligator Stew, has released a brand new album entitled ‘Middle Class Man’. To promote the new CD Jeffries appeared on Lafayette, Indiana’s WLFI-TV and performed an acoustic version of the album’s title track.
‘Middle Class Man’ is available for purchase at CDBaby.com and Amazon.com. More information on Gary Jeffries can be found at his brand new website www.garyleejeffries.com.
‘Middle Class Man’ represents the 9th CD Gary has released since his MTV days with Virgin Recording Artist Asphalt Ballet. Asphalt Ballet had videos on MTV’s Headbanger Ball in the 90’s and did quite well. Upon leaving Asphalt Ballet Gary moved back to Monroe, Louisiana and started gigging throughout the south and staying very busy with his music.
Gary couldn’t stay away from Los Angeles though and returned and recorded a CD called ‘Real Deal’ with The Regulators. Gary later recorded three albums with Alligator Stew, a group that recorded ‘First Taste Of’, ‘Alligator Stew’ and ‘Monticello Live’. This was some of the best southern rock heard in years. After all these great bands, Gary decided to take a little flavor from all his years and a few of his all time favorites and make one of the most heart-felt hard hittin southern rock CD’s of the times.
