Ozzy Osbourne Song Inspired By Canadian Killing

Ozzy Osbourne has confirmed new song Latimer’s Mercy was inspired by a real-life farmer who killed his suffering daughter in 1993.

At a press conference launching his new album Scream in Canada last week, the rocker told gathered reporters that the song chronicles Saskatchewan farmer Robert Latimer’s decision to end his disabled daughter’s life.

Latimer was convicted of second-degree murder.

Osbourne told Canada’s CanWest News Service, “It must be a very difficult thing when you give birth to a child that is so messed up, she doesn’t have any quality of life… seeing her go through pain and agony.”
