Peter Criss and Gene Simmons see each other for 1st time since KISS’ Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction
Gene Simmons‘ The Vault experiences throughout the United States of America continue to be a chance for fans to see Simmons reunite with past KISS members. This time in New York City, New York, USA and earlier today, Simmons reunited with his former KISS bandmate / drummer Peter Criss. The duo had apparently not seen each other since KISS‘ induction into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA on April 10, 2014.
After embracing Simmons, Criss addressed the audience as follows (as transcribed by Sleaze Roxx): “Hi. It’s good to be here. It’s good to see you. It’s good to be here. I’m feeling great. I had to come and say hi to my bass player from my former band KISS [laughs]. No. Really. Gene sent me a wonderful invitation. I couldn’t resist and we haven’t seen each other since the Hall of Fame so er, out of all the band members, we always had a Twinkie thing going and way back in the day…” Simmons piped in at that point stating: “He means cake.” Criss continued: [Laughs] So I had to come in and say hi to him. I do have a big place in my heart for Gene. I always will out of all the members. It’s good that you came down for him. He loves to be loved [with Simmons clowning around in the background] so give him all the love he wants. He’ll take it all in. And God bless you all and thank you so much.”
