Poison Announces “Live, Raw & Uncut Summer Tour 2008” With Dokken And Sebastian Bach

POISON ANNOUNCES “LIVE, RAW & UNCUT SUMMER TOUR 2008” WITH DOKKEN AND SEBASTIAN BACH:

April 6, 2008

Poison, one of rock’s most iconic and enduring bands, will hit more than 40 U.S. cities this summer on their LIVE, RAW & UNCUT SUMMER TOUR 2008. The national tour, with Dokken and Sebastian Bach joining Poison for most of the dates, rolls out on July 3 in Salt Lake City, UT, with stops in and around New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Washington, DC and other major tour markets across the country.

This June, the band will be releasing Poison: Live, Raw & Uncut. This DVD/CD collection — the band’s first in over a decade — includes all of the multi-platinum rockers’ greatest hits performed live, including “Nothin’ but a Good Time,” “Look What The Cat Dragged In” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Captured in glorious high definition in front of 10,000 rowdy fans at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri, Live, Raw & Uncut also features a bonus photo gallery and a behind-the-scenes segment that captures all of the mayhem and madness of life on the road. Rounding out the set is an audio CD of Poison’s greatest hits captured live.

Since first bursting onto the scene in 1986, Poison has been one of rock’s top acts, with multi-platinum album sales and sold out tours. The success of the band’s recent album releases and tours shows that Poison is as potent 22 years after the release of their debut album, Look What The Cat Dragged In, as ever.

Released in 2006, Poison’s greatest hits collection, The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock, rocketed into Billboard’s Top 20 with a #17 debut. The 18-track CD and digital collection, released by Capitol/EMI, was soon certified gold with sales totaling more than 500,000 units in the U.S., and Poison tore through the summer of 2006 on their highly successful “20 Years Of Rock” North American concert tour.

Last June, Poison returned to Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart with the #32 debut of their EMI America Records/Capitol release, POISON’D!. Produced by Don Was, POISON’D! packs 13 explosive cover songs, including new recordings of David Bowie’s “Suffragette City,” The Cars’ “You’re Just What I Needed,” The Romantics’ “What I Like About You,” Sweet’s “Little Willy,” The Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See” and The Rolling Stones’ “Dead Flowers.” Poison toured to more than 50 U.S. cities on last summer’s sold out “POISON’D! 2007” tour.

VH1’s hit reality series Rock Of Love With Bret Michaels, now in its second season and just weeks away from its climactic conclusion, continues to draw high ratings. Season one’s love match was a mismatch and the search went on for Bret to find someone to “rock his world.” The first season’s finale was the #1 program on cable that night as well as the #1 non-sports program on cable for the week.
