Poison Could Tour Again Next Year Says Singer Bret Michaels

September 15, 2014

According to Poison frontman Bret Michaels, the iconic hair metal band may hit the road again in 2015. “It looks like it will happen,” Michaels told Cleveland Scene. “It’s been a few years — we just want to put together the right package and show to celebrate with everyone.” Poison last toured together in 2012, when they joined Def Leppard and Lita Ford on the Rock Of Ages tour.

As for another Poison album, Michaels doesn’t rule that out either. “When the time’s right, I’m sure it will happen. We are all just in different places right now — But we are never done making music.”

However Michaels isn’t willing to sit around waiting for Poison to return as the singer has several upcoming projects on the go. “I’m always doing something and I’m always creating. We have new solo music on the way, my book and some new TV show ideas I can’t talk about yet. All I can say is keep your eyes out.”

Michaels is currently touring in support of his latest solo album ‘Jammin’ With Friends’, a twenty track collection that features a live duet with Jimmy Buffett (“Margaritaville”), a cover of “Sweet Home Alabama” with Gary Rossington, Rickey Medlocke and Peter Keys from Lynyrd Skynyrd, new versions of some of Poison’s biggest hits, including the highly anticipated remake of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” with Loretta Lynn. Musical greats such as Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Michael Anthony of Van Halen/Chickenfoot, Leslie West of Mountain, and Ace Frehley of KISS/Frehley’s Comet also appeared on the record.
