Madman’s Lullaby consist of frontman Chris Michaels, lead guitarist Mr. Brett, drummer Eric Arbizu and bassist Luis Barillas.

Speaking exclusively to Sleaze Roxx, Arbizu explained why Madman’s Lullaby elected to release Nocturnal Overdrive as a two-part EP rather than a full album. The drummer stated: “Nocturnal Overdrive was originally written as one full-length album. However, after discussing this in detail with our record label, we decided that due to all the Covid-19 lockdowns, restrictions, and no shows, it was a better option to release Nocturnal Overdrive as a Part 1 and 2.”

In terms of how the band came up with the EP cover for Nocturnal Overdrive Part 2, Arbizu indicated: “Mr Brett came up with the title of Nocturnal Overdrive. He explained it to me as those moments when you’re up late at night with everything going through your mind and you just can’t turn your brain off.. … The cover on Part 1 illustrates this in a more literal sense. Nello Dell’Omo stepped in to help us out to beef up the Nocturnal Overdrive Part 2 cover.”

With respect to Madman’s Lullaby‘s plans for the rest of 2022, Arbizu advised: “There’s some interesting stuff on the table but nothing that we can talk about yet. We’d definitely love to be back out there with all of our friends and fans doing what we love. Now that the pandemic restrictions are loosening up, we will keep our fingers crossed and keep you all informed of what’s to come.”

Madman’s Lullaby‘s “Falling” video:

Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Nocturnal Overdrive Part 1:

“Overall, Madman’s Lullaby remind me a lot of Dokken in terms of the quality musicianship and the variety of songs offered on their EP only slightly heavier. The guitar work from Mr. Brett is absolutely stellar and once you get used to lead vocalist Chris Michaels‘ singing (which might be a bit of an acquired taste although I really like his voice), you may well find yourself hooked just like I was. Hopefully, Nocturnal Overdrive Part 2 will be coming out soon and there won’t be a four year gap such as the last time between the band’s album Sins of Greed (2017) and Nocturnal Overdrive Part 1. Madman’s Lullaby‘s Nocturnal Overdrive Part 1 is easily my most played CD during the last month and a half, and when that happens to an album, it often lands in the Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums of the Year. Enough said.”
