Speaking exclusively to Sleaze Roxx, Gagliardi was asked the reason why the group decided to go with the song “Dirty Vegas” for the video to which he replied: “The reason we picked “Dirty Vegas” as our first video is that we feel the song has a great rockin’ vibe. We felt the song really lends itself to the live experience. We wanted our first video to show us as we are. This is the first time fans will really see the band and we wanted a song that we could really get into it and show fans what the live show will be like. Rock n’ roll and [Las] Vegas kind of walk hand in hand. Especially “Dirty Vegas”! Thanks for premiering the video for us. We will also be shooting the next video in March to follow it up.”
In terms of all the positive reviews that Storm Force‘s debut album Age of Fear has received to date, Gagliardi indicated: “We have been amazed by the response! We were confident that we had an album that we were proud of, and that’s all we can do. It has been great hearing and seeing all the kind words that others have said about the album. It’s awesome to see that the work is paying off. Every time we get a new review, I keep thinking that maybe this will be the unfavorable one, but that hasn’t happened. Fans and critics are digging it. It’s an incredible feeling.”
Storm Force are scheduled to play their debut gig at the Warehouse Concert Hall in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada on April 24, 2020. Tickets for the show can be purchased via Show Clix‘s website. With respect to whether there will be more shows, Gagliardi stated: “As far as playing live goes, we’re ready to go! We never had the intention of just recording and releasing a record. There is nothing like the live experience. Especially a live rock crowd! We most likely won’t be touring, but are currently looking into rock festivals, club shows, and opening act shows. We intend on getting out there. We also will start preparing for a follow up to Age of Fear.”
Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Age of Fear: “One band that fits right into Sleaze Roxx‘s wheelhouse is Storm Force, which is Brighton Rock guitarist Greg Fraser‘s new band and really the product of his frustration in not being able to come up and record new music with his long-time Canadian hard rock group.
Fraser found some musicians who lived nearby in lead vocalist Patrick Gagliardi, drummer Brian Hamilton and bassist Mike Berardelli, and the results are stupendous. Storm Force have come up with a great mix of melodic rock meets classic rock peppered in with a bit of grit via Gagliardi‘s slightly Jorn like (but less gritty) vocals. I can’t say enough how good Storm Force‘s debut album is.”
Sleaze Roxx concluded its review by stating: “Don’t be surprised if Age of Fear ends up on a lot of “best albums” lists at the end of this year.” You can check out more about Storm Force via the band’s Facebook page and website.
