March 29, 2009

California rockers PRETTY BOY FLOYD, along with radio DJ JEFF DURAN, will kick off the COACH’s Concert and Comedy Series, May 2nd. This will be the first of several shows at the Antelope Valley venue.

California rockers PRETTY BOY FLOYD will perform at the kick off of COACH’s Concert and Comedy Series May 2nd. The show will also feature Jeff Duran, who will introduce the winners of his daily radio show’s competition for BEST NEW SLEAZE Band. The group gets airplay and a shot to open the show which takes place May 2nd at COACH’s in Lancaster(50 Miles out of Los Angeles, CA).

The success of recent shows by SCORPION’s James KOTTAK and COMEDY CENTRAL headliners at COACH’s served as the inspiration for club owner Joey Rayborn, an avid 80’s rock and comedy fan, to organize the concert series. “Antelope Valley rock fans love it because they don’t have to drive to Hollywood to see their favorite bands or comedians,” says Rayborn who just booked VEINS OF JENNA for August.

Formed in 1987, PRETTY BOY FLOYD is most famous for its 1989 LP “Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz” and the two singles, “Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)” and “I Wanna Be With You”. The band broke up in 1991, but reformed with various line ups since. WHITE LION drummer Troy Patrick Farrell and bassist Criss Sixx of the MOTLEY CRUE tribute band TRUE 2 CRUE are the most recent additions along with original members STEVE SUMMERS and KRISTY “KRASH” MAJORS.

Jeff Duran is a Southern California based radio personality and stand up comedian. Duran has appeared in documentaries on METALLICA, GUNS N ROSES and on the LATE, LATE SHOW as a stand up comedian. Duran was also a child actor appearing in the ABC series “The Wonder Years” and “No Man’s Land”, a 1987 film with Charlie Sheen and Brad Pitt.
