Queensrÿche aiming to release new studio album in fall of 2017
In a new interview with Jeb Wright of Classic Rock Revisited, long-time Queensrÿche guitarist Michael Wilton advised that the group is aiming to release a new studio album in 2017.
Wilton stated the following to Classic Rock Revisited regarding the timing and progress of a new studio album from Queensrÿche: “…in January we want to start putting together all of the demos for another album. We’re doing a few shows and then we are doing that Monster of Rock Cruise. When we get back from that we want to be in the studio and get writing again.” Wilton concluded by stating: “We’d like to see a Fall of 2017 release.”
With respect to releasing another live album, Wilton stated: “We have plenty of material documented. We have the entire making of the first album and Condition Human professionally shot. We have not had time to put it together. Record deals… live albums are not typically what they want. We do have the performances and it is easily accessed. I think that would be something really good to do. We really want to somehow focus on doing kind of a documentary of the rebuilding of Queensryche.”
