Quiet Riot perform live without any classic line-up member

For seemingly the first time ever, Quiet Riot performed without anyone from its classic line-up of singer Kevin DuBrow, drummer Frankie Banali, guitarist Carlos Cavazo or Rudy Sarzo who played on the group’s 1983 multi-platinum selling album Metal Health (1983).

At the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival in Richardson, Texas, USA on May 17, 2019, the regular band line-up of James Durbin (lead vocals), guitarist Alex Grossi (guitar) and Chuck Wright (bass) along with replacement drummer Johnny Kelly took to the stage.

The following message was posted by Matt Lemieux in Melodic Mafia‘s closed Facebook group earlier today:

“I haven’t heard anyone talk about this anywhere so I’m guessing many people weren’t aware that it happened. On Friday May 17th Quiet Riot performed at the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival in Richardson, Texas. On drums was Johnny Kelly from Type O Negative, Danzig, Kill Devil Hill, etc. filling in for Frankie Banali who wasn’t able to make the show for an undisclosed reason. There are some videos on YouTube for anyone who’s curious. Type in “Quiet Riot Wildflower” & you should see some pop up.”
