R.I.P. Psycho Squad singer Johnny Severe (band featuring guitarist Chris Holmes)
Ex-W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes has announced that Johnny Severe, the lead vocalist for his former band Psycho Squad, has passed away.
The following message was posted on Chris Holmes‘ Facebook page earlier today:
“I’m sad to say that one of my best friend in the 90s has passed away . He was my singer in Psycho Squad. He had one of the biggest heart had never known and the most talented lyricist I ever heard in my life . He was 
as talented as Bon Scott at writing lyrics. I don’t know all details of his passing . I’m very sad RIP John“
After leaving W.A.S.P. in about 1990, Holmes formed Psycho Squad which apparently released either a four song demo or a six song demo entitled Born, Work, Die in 1991. Psycho Squad‘s line-up consisted of Holmes on guitar, Johnny Severe on lead vocals, Mike Kortz on bass and Chris Olson on drums.

Interestingly, two of the songs on Psycho Squad‘s demo appear to have resurfaced on Holmes‘ later solo albums Shitting Bricks (2015) and C.H.P. (2016) for which the guitarist also released videos for.
