Rare Metallica Test Printing Of Kill Em All Being Sold For $6600A rare metallica test printing of ‘Kill ‘Em All’ is being sold at this eBay.com link. The listing states:

This has been called the “Holy Grail” for Metallica collectors. The 1983 Hauppuage record test pressing of “Kill Em All”, the album that started it all, manufactured for Megaforce Records with a yellow label in plain sleeve (MRI 069). Depending to whom you talk to there are only three maybe four known copies to exist. One sold years ago for $5200.00. The most recent copy sold with the asking price of $6660.00. This may be the last available copy to come on the market. Don’t miss out.

The plain sleeve shows the distinctive handwriting of Marsha Zazula, Johnny Z’s wife, listing:

Side One:
Hit The Lights
The Four Horsemen
Motorbreath
Jump In The Fire
(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth
Whiplash

Side Two:
Phantom Lord
No Remorse
Seek & Destroy
Metal Militia

Anyone who is a Metallica fan knows the story of the band so I won’t waste your time with a history lesson of the most influential metal band of all time. Johnny Z, the owner of Megaforce Records, gave me this test pressing for introducing him to the band. I managed the club in San Francisco that gave Metallica their first Bay Area dates. It has been in my procession since before “Kill Em All” was released commercially. The vinyl has never been played. It is beyond MINT!!!
