Red Dragon Cartel featuring Jake E. Lee to release new studio album ‘Patina’ in July
Great news for Red Dragon Cartel fans as the group’s second studio album appears only months away from being released.
The following message was just posted on Rock Talk with Mitch Lafon‘s Facebook page earlier today:
“Jake E. Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel have confirmed that their new album, Patina, will be released in July and that the video for first single, Havana, was recorded last Sunday (March 25th).”
That would seem to put an end to the assertion from drummer Bobby Blotzer that the Stephen Pearcy and Juan Croucier led version of Ratt have hired Lee to apparently replace lead guitarist Warren DeMartini in the band.
Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Red Dragon Cartel‘s debut self-titled album released back in 2014: “The back cover of the album contains a band photo — a picture that shows most of the members looking serious, except Lee who is wearing a very Van Halen-esque shit-eating grin. He has every reason to be grinning, as this is an excellent reintroduction for the guitarist to the world of heavy metal. Red Dragon Cartel is a very strong release that is definitely worthy of purchase — trust me, you won’t be ‘deceived’.”
