Revival Black announce the end of their band

UK rockers Revival Black consisting of guitarists Alan Rimmer and Adam Kerbache, bassist Jamie Hayward and drummer Ash Janes have decided to call it a day and end their band. The group released the albums Step In Line (2019), Live In Your Lounge (2021) and Under The Light (2022). About two weeks after the release of their last record, lead vocalist Dan Byrne announced that he was leaving Revival Black without any firm plans for the future. Byrne is now a solo artist along with being the singer for SKIN (featuring guitarist Myke Gray) and Bad Rain. On the same day (on September 7, 2022) that Byrne announced his departure, Revival Black declared that Kim Jennett would be handling the lead vocal duties for their upcoming run of UK shows.

The following message was posted on Revival Black‘s Facebook page earlier today:

“-ANNOUNCEMENT-

All things must come to an end and it’s with a heavy heart we announce the end of Revival Black.

We started this as Black cat Bones in 2013 and what a ride its been since then. We went from playing to 5 people in a pub to playing to 8000 people in a field and everything in between. We’ve had 2 albums the latter which charted. We’ve also had countless line up changes and went through many highs and lows together.

But none of this wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for all of you!

You lot who came to shows, bought the merch and just generally supported us, you made it all worth while and we will be eternally grateful for everything.

Also to everyone who booked us and put their faith in us we absolutely couldn’t thank you enough! You put us on stage and gave us a chance to show what we can do so again thank you!

Our store will remain open for a little while and CD’s and Vinyls will be available at a discount price so if you missed the chance to get one or are new to us then head there and grab one before it’s gone.

Who knows what the future holds but for now its goodbye.
