Revolver, fronted by former Slik Toxik singer Nick Walsh, is helping a young girl in need. All proceeds from the band’s digital release of “Blue Sky” will be donated to Haley, a 10 year old who was diagnosed with a rare brain injury called Arteriovenous Malformation on January 26th. Revolver’s goal is to raise enough money with the download of “Blue Sky” to send her to the Mayo clinic to get the help she needs. “Blue Sky” can be downloaded at this location for 99 cents.
Revolver have also been working on completing their next studio album and have just released their new single “Wasteland” that is available to listen and/or purchase at www.revolvertv.com and iTunes.
The band are gearing up for autumn in Canada and looking forward to Europe in 2011. Everything is lining up and they’re ready to unleash some more of their new songs to radio and online very shortly.
The driving force behind Revolver is Nick Walsh and Laurie-Anne Green. Most ‘rockers’ will remember Walsh from Canadian Juno Award winning hard rock band, Slik Toxik.
Revolver’s sound and music is a hybrid of the best elements of the Devil’s music: edgy, dangerous, melodic and hooky bringing a paradigm shift to the arena of rock. It’s been said, that Revolver have created something fresh and exciting in an otherwise stagnating genre. With the conclusion that no-one has definitive comparisons, it could be said that they have taken the best elements from over three decades of rock to create their own brand of ‘METALLIC HARD ROCK’.
Revolver’s debut album titled ‘TURBULENCE’ has seen official releases in Europe, the U.K. and Canada through companies such as Drakkar Records/SONY/BMG and KOCH. The videos ‘Turbulence’ and ‘Blue Sky’ were added to Much Music’s ‘MuchLoud’ and garnered an unprecedented 20 weeks of rotation.
The latest release entitled ‘THE NEW BLOOD ROCK SHOW’ was through Babylon Music Group in Canada featuring Revolver live in concert and two studio radio singles mixed in Nashville, TN with multi-Grammy award winning producer/engineers. The radio singles ‘Love Stands Still’ and ‘On Broken Wings’ are a prelude to their as yet untitled sophomore release currently being mixed in Toronto, Canada.
