ROCK GONE WILD FESTIVAL CANCELLED

The Rock Gone Wild festival, set to be held August 20-23 by the Northwood Diamond Jo Casino, has been canceled. This press release is posted on www.rockgonewild.com:

Rock Gone Wild, an Iowa based LLC was informed by Diamond Jo Casino, LLC legal counsel on August 5, 2009, that “the event cannot take place anywhere on the licensed premises”.

Due to Diamond Jo Casino, LLC refusing to honor its obligation to provide the venue, we are unable to produce the event as planned. This matter has been referred to legal counsel.

The festival was originally scheduled to be held at Freedom Park in Algona, but last month, it was announced that the festival would be held at the casino.

According to antimusic.com, bands that were supposed to performed include Jackyl, Skid Row, Saxon, Warrant, Twisted Sister, Lita Ford, Dokken, Great White, Kix, L.A. Gvns (featuring Phil Lewis), Candlebox and Sevendust.
