Rockets To Ruin Post “Got Me Down” Video
March 10, 2011
Rockets To Ruin have posted a video for the song “Got Me Down” from the band’s upcoming CD ‘Mutual Disrespect’.
Bassist Chris Taylor tells Sleaze Roxx that the new CD was produced by Jan Nerud (Lil Jon, Sevendust, Travis Tritt) and that no official release date has been set at this time for the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Love Drugs Rebellion’. The tracklisting for ‘Mutual Disrespect’ includes “Helpless”, “Got Me Down”, “Devil Girl”, “Back Off”, “Get It On”, “Bonnie and Clyde”, “Screamin’ At Me”, “Helpless (Acoustic Version)” and “Gotta Go, Gotta Roll”.
Rockets To Ruin’s raw, uncompromising sound slaps conformity in the face, reaching out to a generation lusting after the glory days of rock n’ roll. Loud, energetic, and fun is their approach to songwriting. Energy and attitude is their approach to the stage. They don’t believe their lives are bad or that life is unfair. Instead, they believe in the power of rock n’ roll…and it shows! With a non-stop buzz developing, Rockets To Ruin has made its mark on fans of this music, and the numbers are growing daily.
The band is based in Atlanta, GA and was formed by singer Cleveland Willis and original guitarist Mike Grimmett. They soon met bassist Chris Taylor through a mutual friend and recruited friend Rob Hammersmith for Drums. In 2010 the band went through a line up change. Rob left the band to become the new drummer for Skid Row and Keith Horne joined as the new guitar player.
Rockets To Ruin continues with a busy live schedule throughout the Southeastern U.S., and the buzz is growing. This high-powered, guitar-driven rock n’ roll band is set to inspire a defiant rock-deprived generation that is ready for a 360-spin from the mainstream corporate numbness currently dominating the nation’s airwaves.
