Ron Keel thinks back to first wife who committed suicide 20 years ago
Back in 2014, Keel frontman Ron Keel released his autobiography Even Keel: Life On The Streets Of Rock & Roll. The former Steeler frontman has been reading the audio book version of his autobiography to subscribers of his Patreon channel.
The following message was posted on Ron Keel‘s Facebook page earlier today:
“My first wife, Kathy Wolfe, committed suicide 20 years ago. I don’t even have a picture of her/us to share. Some of my long time Nashville friends remember her from the Tabu/Lust/early Steeler days. There was a lot of anger, dysfunction and abuse, and the day the divorce was final I headed to Hollywood and the rest is history…but reading the Audio Book and re-living that time makes me realize the impact she had on me. She made me dress up, she did my hair, forced me to wear makeup (!?!?!?), get a job, pay the rent, join a band…when I was just a teenager and headed down the wrong path – she stabilized me. If any of my Nashville friends from back in the day have any photos of her, I’d like to see them. For those Keelaholics listening to the Audio Book at https://www.patreon.com/posts/22408255 I apologize for dragging you through the shit I forgot I lived through.”
