Salems Lott Begin Pre-Orders Of Debut EP

December 28, 2014

Salems Lott, a shock metal band from Hollywood, will release their self-titled debut on January 21st. The seven song EP is now available for pre-order by visiting the store at salemslott.com.

When asked what it was like putting together the EP, frontman Monroe Black told Sleaze Roxx earlier this month, “To be honest it was a long and hard road. Keep in mind we are a completely self-funded band so a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this thing. But this is also something we anticipated, so we constantly remained hungry and motivated to complete the EP and we always had a specific vision of what we wanted sonically for the end product. We were literally involved in every aspect of the process with our great producer Sean Lee; who worked with members of AC/DC, Motley Crue, Ratt, U.D.O., Guns N’ Roses, etc.”

“For this record, we all had a perfectionist attitude and wanted to capture a true organic sound,” Monroe continued. “This included re-recording all of the songs with different amps, trying to achieve the best drum sound, going back to the mix: in short, a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes but definitely makes it worth while. By the end of it, we were so involved with the project that Jett and I actually took over the mastering process ourselves to really achieve our end vision.”

Salems Lott formed in Hollywood in late 2013 and are known for their high-energy and excessively violent stage performances. The band — consisting of Monroe (vocals/guitar), Jett (guitar), Kay (bass) and Tony F. Corpse (drums) — utilizes psycho theater and hi-tech musicianship that involves a chainsaw sacrifice, upside down guitar solos and backwards drumming. Their upcoming debut EP will feature seven tracks of unrelenting, in-your-face heavy metal — combining elements of bands such as Megadeth, Motley Crue, X-Japan, King Diamond, W.A.S.P., Alice Cooper, Racer X, Ozzy Osbourne and Accept.
