Sammy Hagar states possibility of Van Halen reunion is a “dead horse”
Former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar had expressed interest earlier in the year of reuniting with his former bandmates, guitarist Eddie Van Halen and drummer Alex Van Halen, along with his long-time friend and bassist Michael Anthony to tour along with frontman David Lee Roth handling the songs from his time during Van Halen.
Hagar‘s optimism for such a reunion has apparently been dampened. The entrepreneur, singer and guitarist was recently interviewed by Newsday and spoke about a possible Van Halen reunion as he stated:
“The last thing I want to do is have one of us, that are still alive and able to do something, die and then go, ‘I wish we would have got together one more time…”
“The Van Halen thing I think is a dead horse… Honestly, I’m so busy and occupied with everything else in my life that it’s not on my front burner where every day I’m checking my email. It’s not on my bucket list.”
