Saturday Overdose To Release EP Later This Summer

June 10, 2013

Saturday Overdose have inked a deal with Street Symphonies Records to release the EP ‘Eat My Dust!’ later this summer.

Saturday Overdose was born simply as Overdose in 2007 in Acqui Terme (Alessandria, Italy) from the idea of four school and raiding mates: Bosko Dirty Hack/Enrico Boschiazzo (vocals), Serve The Weedz/Andrea Servetti (guitar), Pana Doctor Gonzo/Andrea Panaro (bass) and Machine Gun Kocks/Filippo Galli (drums). After some unsuccessful performances playing covers at school parties, in 2008 the band split. In 2009, the four friends rejoined to get back on track, writing their first original song.

The moniker Saturday Overdose represents their ’80s inspired, ‘party-loving’ sound. After several gigs, the band stepped up their songwriting skills and released their first demo. The band carried on touring and, in the beginning of 2013, recorded the EP ‘Eat My Dust!’ at Federico Pennazzato’s Authoma Studios (Hell In The Club, Secret Sphere). This work features five tracks that perfectly combine ’80s inspired hard rock and modern atmospheres, creating a unique infectious sound, a catchy explosion of melody, and a couple of extremely classy ballads.
