Sebastian Bach up for Skid Row reunion but not commenting on possible negotiations
Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach was recently interviewed by Graham from Loudwire.
Excerpts from the video interview (see below for video) are below:
Loudwire: So, 2016 really has been like the year of the reunion. Of Guns N’ Roses. Now The Misfits are back. There’s lots of rumblings about Rage Against The Machine doing something. Does this put an itch in your mind that maybe this will finally be the Skid Row reunion that fans have wanted for such a long time?
Sebastian Bach: Well, I don’t have any, uh, reason why not to, to do that. I mean, I have a manager named Rick Sales, and he guides my career, and something like that is way beyond me. Like I don’t know how to answer that. Um, but you know, if they wanna get together and jam…
Loudwire: That’s something that you absolutely like to do?
Sebastian Bach: I could. Yeah [laughs]. I’m just so fucking busy that I don’t… I know the fans think about that all the time. I’m doing twelve cities in thirteen days right now. It’s hard to describe to people like what that is, how much work goes into it. So my brain, my brain is focused on what I’m doing. I’m releasing a book. There is a lot that I have to do. But I have no animosity towards anybody in Skid Row, and the fact that we’re all five of us still alive in this world is a pretty amazing feat. So I would someday definitely like to hear the five guys who made those records play live together again. Yes, I would. ‘Cause I’m a fan too. I am a huge Skid Row fan [laughs].
Loudwire: You’ve got good taste.
Sebastian Bach: Yeah.
Loudwire: And I know earlier this year, you were talking about wanting to bury the hatchet with them and potentially doing something. I know they ended up getting another vocalist but as there any contact with them at all or was it you just kind putting it out there online for fans and everyone to see?
Sebastian Bach: Umm [long pause]. Rick Sales is my manager. He handles everything to do with the Skid Row reunion. And if there is a reunion, it’s a very complicated business thing, and I really… I just don’t even know what to say. Like I don’t know what to say. I text Rob the drummer. He’s here tonight I think. So you might see two fifth of Skid Row here tonight.
Loudwire: At least there’s that bridge?
Sebastian Bach: Yeah.
Loudwire: I mean if Guns N’ Roses and The Misfits can patch it together, I don’t see why Skid Row couldn’t too, you know what I mean?
Sebastian Bach: Well, I’m up for it, if they are.
Bach went on to discuss other topics including joining Guns N’ Roses on stage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on April 9, 2016 for a spirited version of the iconic group’s classic “My Michelle.”
