Simon Wright advises Dio Hologram getting worked on and will look almost real for next year’s tour

Former AC/DC and current Dio Disciples drummer Simon Wright was recently interviewed by ex-Anthrax singer Neil Turbin for Canada’s The Metal Voice.

In terms of whether the Dio Disciples will continue to tour with the Dio Hologram, Wright indicated (as transcribed by The Metal Voice with slight edits): “There are plans to tour with Dio Hologram next year and it will be different. It’s going to be a lot better as far as the way it looks. its the same hologram but they took it to the shop, worked on it and it looks really really good, it looks almost real. The team is in the process of deciding what the tour will look like. There are so many people who didn’t get a chance to see Ronnie Dio live so, now they will get to see him as live as is possible, it’s going to be a big show, big production.”

In regard to the upcoming Dio Disciples album, Wright advised: “The new album got pulled back a little bit, we are still writing the songs, tossing around ideas but it looks like it’s going to be, not confirmed but towards the end of 2019.”
