Guitarist Mike Floros and singer Bryan Cole discuss latter’s departure from SteelCity

After Sleaze Roxx‘s announcement that lead vocalist Bryan Cole left SteelCity, Sleaze Roxx reached out to guitarist Mike Floros to obtain his perspective and also asked Cole to elaborate on his initial statement.

Floros advised: “We wish Bryan all the success he desires and hope that his future endeavors bring him nothing but happiness. We’re truly excited to move forward and have begun the process of searching for our new singer. The future is coming and we expect big things from ourselves, as well!

In the meantime, I’ve begun pre-production with Brian Colkitt on the next Idora CD, which was pre-planned during SteelCity‘s hiatus post Rock N Skull. It will be mixed and mastered by Ty Sims and also have some artistic input from Erik Johnson, both of Bombay Black fame.”

Cole provided the following additional comments to Sleaze Roxx about his departure: “I don’t want to elaborate too much but all I can say is that my reasons for leaving were both creative and personal. It takes a special blend of musicians to have chemistry and that cannot be forced. In addition, this is a business. I’m not a hobbyist, so in order for a brand to be successful, it also needs to possess a strong, professional machine to run it.”

SteelCity‘s debut album Fortress was released via Kivel Records back in March 2018.
