Singer Oni Logan not in Lynch Mob anymore and putting together new project in 2018
Big news in the Lynch Mob camp as singer Oni Logan has posted a Facebook message that he will be pursuing new recordings and a touring group in 2018 and importantly indicating that he has left Lynch Mob. The news appears to have first picked up by the closed Facebook group Your Backstage Pass! administered by Sleaze Roxx contributor Christopher Carroll.
Wikipedia indicates that Logan played in Lynch Mob during 1989 to 1991, 1998, 2008 to 2011, 2012 to 2013, and from 2014 onwards as well as played on the following albums Wicked Sensation (1990), Syzygy EP (1998), Smoke And Mirrors (1999), Unplugged: Live From Sugarhill Studios EP (2013), Sun Red Sun (2014), Rebel (2015) and The Brotherhood (2017).
The following message was posted on Logan‘s Facebook page late yesterday:
“”A brother has left the building”
As a new year shines a light so do new beginnings..
Some that make the heart flutter and some that just have to happen.
I’ve been the original vocalist for Lynch Mob on and off for many years,
I’ve played a lot of great shows and traveled a lot of miles with this band,
I’m very proud to have been a part of the recordings and the brotherhood.
I’d like to say thanks to the fans who have continued to come to our shows over the years and for all your interest in what we had to say in our new recordings.
Very excited for 2018! I’ll be putting together a new recording and touring project.
Writing and recording has always been the most satisfying aspect in being a musician,
I’ll be looking forward to writing with other artist and bands,
2018 is wide open and I’m feeling a sense of new beginnings coming on…
Best to all in 2018??✌️
Oni”
The news comes as guitarist George Lynch has reunited with former Lynch Mob lead vocalist Robert Mason (Big Cock, Warrant) to form a new group called Super Stroke along with bassist Jeff Pilson and drummer “Wild” Mick Brown. Of note, Logan did not thank Lynch in his above-mentioned Facebook page.
Lynch Mob are slated to play at the upcoming Monsters Of Rock Cruise that will be taking place from February 11 to 16, 2018 and apparently there will be a change of drummers for the band for that show. The following message was recently posted by rock star security man Sarge McIntyre on Facebook:
