Singer Steve Grimmett having another operation to remove more of his right leg
The bad news continues for Grim Reaper frontman Steve Grimmett who is likely in the midst or just finished another operation to remove more of his right leg due to a very serious infection that was first identified on or about January 17, 2017 while the singer was touring South America and in Ecuador.
The following message was posted on the Facebook page of Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper less than 24 hours ago:
“I’m sorry to say, tomorrow morning (Wednesday) Steve has to have another operation to remove more of his right leg. The open wound isn’t healing properly because of a blocked artery above his knee. So they are removing above the blockage in the hope the blood flow will be good enough to heal the next open wound. Once I hear how it went I will let you know.
We are fighting with Steve all the way.
Love and hugs. Millie ?”
Another more recent message was posted on the Facebook page of Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper about four hours ago:
“Steve‘s operation is 8am local time (1pm UK time) today. I’m flying out tomorrow (thurs) & wont be leaving until steve can come home.

A funding campaign has been started via You Caring to assist Grimmett with his medical bills given that his travel health insurance carrier has apparently denied covering the medical bills thus far. You Caring indicates at this time that $6,649 out of $20,000 has already been raised for Grimmett.
