Spread Eagle looking for understudy guitarist for upcoming gigs and touring

New York rockers Spread Eagle featuring frontman Ray West and bassist Rob De Luca are looking for an understudy guitarist to fill in during some upcoming gigs for their temporary guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda who has been filling in for band guitarist Ziv Shalev since mid-2022.

indicates in part:

“Spread Eagle guitarist Jommy may be unavailable for some shows, so we need a ripping understudy.

He/she must be able to rehearse multiple days in the NYC area, prior to shows. Tone, groove, technique and image are important. Backing vocals are a plus, but not mandatory. Living in Northeast USA is a plus, but not mandatory. The guitar solos of our popular songs must be executed on the same level as the recordings.

Here’s how to apply:

• Pick one of these three songs: Switchblade Serenade, Scratch Like A Cat, or Broken City.
• Make a video playing the song. The video does not need to be professionally recorded, but must clearly convey your mastery of the song.
• Post the video on YouTube and send the video link, your name, contact data and availability to understudy@spreadeagle.us If you’re not on YouTube, email us with whatever video link you have.
• If we like it we’ll respond asking for more videos, so be prepared.
