Star-Studded Benefit Concert For Y&T Bassist Phil Kennemore Being Held On December 31st
December 2, 2010
On December 31, New Year’s Eve, an all-star benefit concert in support of Y&T bassist Phil Kennemore will be held at the Avalon in Santa Clara, California. In August it was announced that Kennemore was diagnosed with cancer and would be unable to tour with Y&T in support of their new studio album ‘Facemelter’.
The benefit concert, which will donate 100% of the proceeds directly to Phil, will include very special guest performances and unique auction items available at the event. Tickets are available at the Avalon and online at event.attendstar.com/view-event/new-years-eve-w-yt—phil-kennemore-benefit-concert. Phil was moved to tears when told about who all was joining forces to help — the special guests who have volunteered to perform are:
Geoff Tate (Queensryche)
Don Dokken
Bobby Blotzer (Ratt)
Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell)
Sean McNabb (Dokken, Montrose)
Loren Gold (Roger Daltrey)
Paul Bostaph (Testament)
Jimmy DeGrasso (Alice Cooper)
Joey Alves
Leonard Haze
and more to be announced!
Also to benefit Phil, a few special auction items are now available for bidding on the Y&T auction site, including:
– Bisceglia Guitars ‘Facemelter’ guitar, handcrafted by George Bisceglia
– Gretsch snare drum, pearlescent white, donated by and autographed by Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot, W.A.S.P.)
