Steel Panther announce “Last call for submissions” in their quest to find a new bassist
Steel Panther continue their quest for a new bassist but it appears that their search will be coming to an end as the group recently announced a “Last call for bass submissions.”
Back in mid-July 2021, Steel Panther announced that long-time bassist Lexxi Foxx was no longer a part of the band. In mid-August 2021, the remaining Steel Panther members consisting of lead vocalist Michael Starr, guitarist Satchel and drummer Stix Zadinia announced that they were searching for a new bassist and would consider every video submission in that regard.
In addition to presumably viewing all video submissions, the band has been “auditioning” various bass players by having them perform at a number of shows. Bassist Phil “Silk Pockett” Buckman made his live debut in the Steel Panther line-up at the Rocklahoma Festival on September 5, 2021. Buckman created a bit of a media frenzy when he declared that his show #1 was “in the books” causing Steel Panther to clarify that people will know when they have a new bassist when they reveal who it is. Another person that has benefited from some live tryout gigs is bassist Rikki Dazzle.
The following message was posted on Steel Panther‘s Facebook page back on October 28, 2021:
“LAST CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!! Think you’ve got what it takes to be the next bassist for Steel Panther? You’ve got just a few more days to get your submission in to prove it!!
