The Steel Panther band members were interviewed on America’s Got Talent prior to their performance. Starr indicated (as transcribed by Sleaze Roxx), “Being on AGT has been a killer experience for Steel Panther.” Zadinia chimed in, “Now we are trying to beat the best performance that we’ve ever done by doing the best performance we’ve ever done. So we’re going to play one of our greatest songs ever — “Death To All But Metal”.” Starr added, “It’s one of the first songs that we recorded but for it to be ok to air it on America’s Got Talent, we had to alter the lyrics. I’ve been singing this song a long time so now I’ve got to retrain my brain.” Satchel quickly added, “It’s not easy to retrain this brain [while pointing at Starr]!”
Zadinia noted, “We’re known to a certain degree but we want to be known, known.” Satchel added, “The dream for all of us is to become the biggest heavy metal band that’s ever lived…. There’s no way that we can’t make the finals.”
