Steel Panther’s new bassist? Phil “Silk Pockett” Buckman declares show #1 “in the books”
It appears that Steel Panther may have found their new bassist to replace long-time band member Lexxi Foxx.
Phil Buckman (also known as Silk Pockett) posted a photo on his Instagram page earlier today of himself on stage with Steel Panther lead vocalist Michael Starr and guitarist Satchel with the following comments: “silkpockett Show #1 with @steelpanther is in the books. Thanks @michaelstarr, @stixzadinia , and #Satchel for making me feel so welcome. Fuck yeah, @rocklahoma! Thanks for a Monster good time! (See what I did there, @monsterenergy, & @monstermusic?)”
The bassist played his first show with Steel Panther at the Rocklahoma Festival on September 5, 2021 (during the daytime) in Pryor, Oklahoma, USA. Steel Panther were also scheduled to play at the House of Blues in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on September 4th and at Hal & Mal’s in Jackson, Mississippi, USA on September 5th during the evening.
You can follow Silk Pockett via his new Instagram page.
Vixen keyboardist Tyson Leslie posted the following congratulatory message on his Facebook page earlier today: “Congrats to my pal Phil Buckman for getting this fabulous gig with some awesome people. Steel Panther picked a good one!”
Buckman plays bass in the covers band Petty Cash, which has reportedly played some interesting gigs including backstage at the Coachella for VIP’s, Stagecoach Festival and Guantanamo Bay in Cuba performing for the troops.
