Steve Stevens Atomic Playboys Gets Reissued With Bonus Tracks

Steve Stevens’ 1989 solo album Atomic Playboys was recently reissued with two bonus tracks by Rock Candy Records. Added to the Billy Idol and Vince Neil guitarist’s original eleven song album are the Japan only bonus track “Warm Female” and a promo remix of the single “Action”.
When talking guitar maestros Steve Stevens is at the top of his game — right up there with shredding companions such as Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Paul Gilbert and Joe Satriani. With looks that kill Stevens made a huge impression during the ’80s as the guitar playing foil to former British punk rocker Billy Idol, crafting a style that would grant him leave of absence to form the Atomic Playboys.
‘Discovered’ bY Montrose and Van Halen producer Ted Templeman, and signed to Warner Brothers Records, Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens recorded his debut album over a two year period. The music is high performance rock performed ferociously. Originally issued in 1989 and produced by Beau Hill (Ratt, Winger), ‘Atomic Playboys’ remains an impressive guitar fuelled record that sounds as fresh today as it did back then.
The Special Deluxe Collector’s Edition contains fully remastered sound shaped from 24 BIT digital technology, two bonus tracks, a 16 page full color booklet, 3500 word essay, enhanced artwork, unseen photos and a new interview with Steve Stevens himself.
