Stevie Rachelle reminisces on 28th year anniversary of release of Tuff’s debut full-length album
Today is the 28th year anniversary of the release of Tuff‘s debut full-length album What Comes Around Go Around.
The following message was posted by Tuff lead vocalist Rachelle on one of his Facebook pages earlier today:
“28 Years Ago… Today! May 14th 1991…
Tuff released our debut “What Comes Around Goes Around” on Atlantic Records.
Seems like yesterday and forever ago all in one.
We started recording this Dec. 26th 1990, and the record was Produced by Howard Benson, with Scott Campbell as the Engineer.
They taught us (me) so much!
We also had some cool guests including back singers Tommy Funderburk, Kane Roberts, Ken Mary and Frankie from KingOfTheHill. Of course everyone knows that the record had some awesome highs for us, including our video for “I Hate Kissing You Goodbye” reaching #3 on Dial Mtv!
In addition to touring the U.S.A. on 2 full tours in 1991, we also went to the U.K. and headlined the legendary Astoria Theatre.
Thanks to anyone and everyone who supported us during this cool time, and of course those supported us years before and the many years since.”
