Stone Temple Pilots’ Scott Weiland Welcomes Baby Girl
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS’ SCOTT WEILAND WELCOMES BABY GIRL:
Stone Temple Pilots’ lead singer Scott Weiland and his wife, Mary, had a baby girl on Saturday (July 20) at 9:17 a.m. in Los Angeles.
Lucy Olivia Weiland clocked in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long, according to the band’s official Web site. This is the couple’s second child. They had a boy, Noah Mercer, in November 2000 .
In other STP news, the band will perform at the San Diego Street Scene in downtown San Diego on Sept. 6. As previously reported, STP’s also on board for the Harley-Davidson 100th anniversary show on Sept. 7 at California Motor Speedway in Fontana, Calif.
On the recording front, Weiland — along with Ian Astbury and Scott Stapp of Creed — are reportedly planning to contribute vocals to a new Doors album. Astbury is also performing live with the surviving members of the Doors for the Harley-Davidson anniversary show on Sept. 6 at the California Motor Speedway.
