Timothy Gaines‘ interview with KNAC published on August 30, 2017 where the bassist announced that he was no longer in Stryper, the group issued an official statement about his departure and apparently has been bombarded with messages, comments and posts via social media on the subject. Stryper‘s frontman Michael Sweet has apparently had enough as he just announed that he will not be talking about the situation between the band and Gaines anymore.
The following message was posted on Sweet‘s Facebook page less than an hour ago:
“This is the last post that will be made here on my page about the situation with Stryper and Tim. I want to enjoy my life, my wife, my kids, my band, my time here in earth. I’m bombarded hourly by pm’s, comments and posts that to be honest rob my joy and steal my peace. I’m done with it. I’m moving on and I won’t talk about it anymore, even if I continue to see the negative garbage that’s sent my way. It’s over. Please help us all to move forward in a productive way. I love you all and I appreciate those of you who have been supportive, understanding and encouraging though this storm. Now, let’s get ready for what God is going to do. It’s gonna be amazing?
Always and Forever,
Michael“
