Stryper frontman Michael Sweet chooses to take high road despite bassist Timothy Gaines’ insults

Despite getting called “pathetic” and having his wife described as “conniving” by his now former bandmate Timothy Gaines today, Stryper frontman Michael Sweet has apparently decided not to stoop to that level. Gaines also accused Sweet of having a “million dollar home” while his other Stryper bandmates Oz Fox (guitar) and Robert Sweet (drums) apparently drive “20 year old broken down cars” and “rent.”

Michael Sweet posted the following message on his Facebook account today about ten hours after Gaines‘ Facebook post:

“Hey guys,

I took a few days off from FB to clear my mind a bit. I’m really trying hard to stay away from the negative stuff and focus on the positive stuff. It’s just not worth the time and effort spent. I appreciate all your support and the kind comments that I’ve received. I’ve been overwhelmed (in a great way) by amazing words and encouragement by so many of you and it really means so much. I’m excited about the future, the new S&L album as well as the new Stryper album. I’ve always been there for the fans and gone out of my way to include you all and I will continue to rise above and be a light to all of you. I hope history speaks for itself. God bless you? Love & Respect to you all ~ M

Sweet also posted the following more cryptic message on his Facebook account a little later today:

“Boys & Girls, two things to always remember: Never ever argue with someone who is “Cray Cray” and eat a banana with peanut butter to make a bad day better”

This is not the first time that Sweet has turned the other cheek despite getting publicly insulted. Back in March 2016, Stryper received some unprovoked verbal insults from Faster Pussycat drummer Chad Stewart and bassist Danny Nordahl but Sweet decided not to respond with insults towards Faster Pussycat.
