Stryper and Sweet & Lynch lead vocalist and guitarist Michael Sweet continues to use Facebook to post his views on varying topics. This time, the singer has posted his advice for musicians who are trying to form a band.
The following message was posted on Sweet‘s Facebook page earlier today:
“Advice to musicians who are trying to form a band:
Work with people who are like minded. People who appreciate the opportunity and who will be team players. People who are happy to be there and who are willing to do whatever they need to do to make it work.
Don’t work with people who are oppositional and stubborn. Seek out other musicians who are humble and willing to play for the team, not for their own agenda.
If you can do that you will have longevity and long lasting friendships and amazing music. Remember a band is like a marriage. If it’s great, it’s great! If it’s not we’ll – it’s not.
Choose people who are on the same page and you will be so happy you did. Then, make some killer music and enjoy every moment as you do“
