The Quireboys Celebrating 30th Anniversary With New Album
The Quireboys Celebrating 30th Anniversary With New Album
February 17, 2014
Its hard to believe that April, 1984 marked the first live show played by The Quireboys, which took place at The Half Moon in Putney, London. To commemorate that special day, and officially stamp 2014 as their 30th anniversary, The Quireboys will be returning to the stage that started it all for a special one off show.
The Quireboys will also release new studio album early in the summer to coincide with the 30th anniversary. The yet unnamed album will be an ambitious three disc set featuring the brand new studio album, a DVD which was shot in London on The Beautiful Curse Tour, and an unplugged live disc recorded at Sweden Rock Festival last year in front of 40,000 fans.
There will be two special 30th anniversary shows, but tickets are very limited as both venues are intimate. The shows take place at The Half Moon on April 23rd and HRH Road Trip Ibiza on May 15th. These intimate dates will be followed by some special festival appearances throughout the summer and then the band will embark on a 30th anniversary World Tour in late autumn.
The last 18 months have been an incredible chapter for The Quireboys, with their latest release ‘Beautiful Curse’ outselling everything they have done since that memorable debut album ‘A Bit Of What You Fancy’, but this year is not purely about the present, but more so about joining them on the road and celebrating the last 30 years of pure rock ‘n’ roll heritage — a show that shouldn’t be missed.
