The Slam Debut “Tears In The Rain” Video

July 22, 2013

The Slam have released a music video for the single “Tears In The Rain”, the first from the band’s 2011 Scarlet Records debut album ‘Hit It!”

Founded by Canadian raised lead singer and guitarist Serge Simic, The Slam combine inspired guitar licks, driving grooves and catchy melodies in the likes of ’70s hard rock giants such as KISS, Black Sabbath, Boston, Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. ‘Hit It’ was mixed in Los Angeles by renowned producer Fabrizio Grossi (Steve Vai and Alice Cooper), who recognized and captured the essence of that positive, highly energetic rock’n’roll The Slam is unleashing. The “Voice of Rock” himself, Mr. Glenn Hughes, appeared as a very special guest on the track “Little Angel”, with an outstanding performance on lead vocals.

In a review of the band’s debut album Sleaze Roxx said, “Hit It! is a very impressive debut album. It offers a bit of the blues with ample amounts of hard rock, but really it is Simic’s voice that sets The Slam apart from new bands attempting the same sound — he has a delivery that conjures up images of hard rock’s elder statesmen.”
