New York based self-proclaimed “drunkin’ rock ‘n rollers” The Sweet Things have released their single “Love To Leave” for streaming.
The Sweet Things‘ bio on their Facebook page states:
“The Sweet Thingsā story is a rock nā roll fairytale. Lorne [Behrman] drank with Sam [Hariss] and briefly discussed playing together, though neither really followed up on that. Dave [Tierney] and Lorne drank and discussed playing together, though neither really followed up on that. Sam and Dave drank together, though neither really remember meeting. Darren [Fried] and Sam met briefly at Lorneās birthday, though, you guessed it, neither really remember meeting. Lorne gigged with Darren. Dave gigged with Lorne. Sam toured with Dave. In February 2015, all four got together in a rehearsal room twice and quickly booked studio time. In March 2015, The Sweet Things somehow managed to remember and record the first two songs they worked on.
Outside The Sweet Things, Dave fronts the Sharp Lads, Sam has played in Stiletto, The Kee Kartel, and The Bowery Boys, Lorne has played with The Dead Tricks, L.E.S. Stitches, and The Dimestore Haloes, and Darren is a veteran NYC drummer who previously played with Mazard and Tongue.”
