The female rockers known as Thundermother have released a video for “Rock’N’Roll Disaster”, the second single from their debut album of the same name.
Thundermother started the summer of 2010 in Vaxjo, Sweden, when guitarist Filippa Nassil wanted to play rock ‘n’ roll. With dreams and visions, along with the song “Shoot To Kill” humming in her head, she started Thundermother and moved to Stockholm to pursue her dream. She found her first partner in crime in guitarist Giorgia Carteri, who also followed her own dreams of playing music, coming all the way from Italy. After numerous ordeals with other musicians the duo finally found the right group of people with right motives and rock ‘n’ roll in their heart in drummer Tilda Stenqvist, bassist Linda Strom and vocalist Clare Cunningham, born and raised on Ireland.
Thundermother has been playing the Close-Up boat with Turbonegro and Candlemass, they were the opening act for Danko Jones on his Swedish Tour, they were the openers for Metaltown on the Blood Stage in the presence of thousands of people before Clutch and Graveyard, and have played with bands like Bonafide, The Scams and many others. Thundermother did it themselves the hard way — without a record they filled pubs and clubs to the brim.
Eventually the band would sign with Warner Music Sweden and unleashed their debut album ‘Rock’N’Roll Disaster’ on April 2nd.
